Tasting notes: A fresh cistern wine from Agiorgitiko and Mavroudi with a name inspired by the winding uphill path that leads to the upper town of the castle of Monemvasia, Voltes. Classic red vinification, with medium-duration extraction and covinification of the two varieties and short ripening on the fine lees. Intense ruby color, aromas and flavors of red fruits, sweet spices, structured body with balanced acidity, round tannins and a pleasant aftertaste. Pairs well with dishes based on red meats, pasta with red sauces, and yellow cheeses.
